Asymmetry is about your maxilla.

Your jaw is further EXPANDED, and grown on one side than the other!

That's why your eyes look different. It's why your nose and cheeks look different. And it's why you have a "better side" and a "worse side". 

But just looking at your face doesn't tell the full story because...

Asymmetry Affects the Entire Body

The entire spine is connected. It's one of the miracles of the human body.

But when it comes to asymmetry, this creates a problem.

If ONE side of your jaw is more developed, this will affect your head and neck posture.

So now, your cervical spine is imbalanced. If ANY PART of your spine is imbalanced, it will translate to your entire body.

Scoliosis is not a rare condition. Almost EVERYONE has some degree postural imbalance.

The greater the imbalance in your maxilla and tongue, the greater the imbalance will be in your body. 

The Root Cause of Facial Asymmetry

Your asymmetry was "caused" by natural forces. Your maxilla has been moulded and shaped over time. It's also being "retained" by these forces.

The most important of which, is your tongue.

Your tongue is your natural palate "expander". And, it's also a retainer. 

It's also likely the reason your maxilla is imbalanced. In almost everyone I meet with, this is the case:

  • The tongue pushes more on one side
  • The side that pushes more is the "better" side
  • The side that pushes less is the worse side

So the "secret" to fixing asymmetry is to even out the tongue

The maxilla will almost "magically" become more symmetrical as a result.

Unfortunately, many people don't know this.

And that's why "mainstream" solutions focus only on symptoms, and ignore the root cause.

Why mainstream solutions for asymmetry don't work...

If you've been trying to solve asymmetry for a while, you've probably heard of some of these methods before:

X Mewing for 8 hours a day...

 "I started Mewing, and everything was going fine, but then after a while I noticed my asymmetry getting worse, I don't know how to fix this, it pushes more on one side than the other."

Mewing can be exhausting. It can be a lot of work. But not only that, it can make actually make your asymmetry worse.

It's logical to think, I should just Mew more with the other side. But In my experience, this does not work.

If one side is already pushing up more, any effort you make to push your tongue up harder can "exaggerate" the asymmetry that already exists.

X Straight Teeth, Crooked Face - The Problem with Orthodontics

 "I know these appliances don't work - because the end up in my chair afterwards. Usually even worse off than when they started"

Many people will turn to more invasive measures. Things like surgeries, or orthodontic appliances to "expand" the jaw.


But the reality is, trying to expand the jaw externally, is difficult. 

It requires expanding horizontally, and forwards.

Head gear, expanders, braces, 10's of thousands of dollars, and years of your life in appliances.

How I discovered The Exercises to Naturally Fix Asymmetry

One day when I was 16, stumbling around on Youtube desperate to find a solution to this problem, I found a video from Elliot Hulse, with simple neck stretches to improve your posture.

The first time I tried these exercises... I was blown away.

After I did the stretches... I felt it. Something felt different in my tongue and my jaw. When I looked in the mirror... I saw it!

After just 5 minutes of stretching, my tongue was more even!

Could this be? 

I tried them for another 5 minutes... Then another 5 minutes. 

I looked in the mirror, and that's when it "clicked" for the first time. I saw my face looking better, just from stretching my neck!!

Mmy tongue was pressing more evenly without me having to "try" and do Mewing! I was so excited about these exercises, because I knew they had the potential to change the world. 

I shared these exercises on Youtube, and the response was amazing! They weren't just helping me, but other people were experiencing the results as well!

Fixing Asymmetry at the Source

I kept searching over the years for ways to balance my tongue and maxilla. One day, I was on a zoom call with a Dentist named Dr. Shehab, in Australia, when he said the line that changed everything for me. 

"Why don't you just try training the side that isn't pushing up? Sometimes you need to isolate the worse side, until it starts working properly."

So, I tried it. I used myospots to train ONLY the left side of my tongue. And the result?


Amazing! I felt something I'd never felt before. Every time I swallowed, my tongue was pressing more on the left side! 

I kept experimenting with these exercises over time, and I noticed the more even my tongue became, the more symmetrical my jaw became.

I was so excited - I had a set of exercises that in only 10-15 minutes per day, could improve my tongue, jaw and posture!

Frequently asked questions

I'm over 25, will this work for me?

Online people ask: until what age can you expand your Maxilla bone? 

And my answer is very simple:

You always can.

Your bone is constantly changing at any age. And your tongue position/function affects your bone.

Now...There is some truth to the age dilemma.

The younger you are the faster your bone changes. It changes fastest while still growing. Especially before early 20s. Under 18 is changing very rapidly, and children's bone changes the fastest.

The point is you're always changing. 

You finish "growing", but you never finish changing. Bone remodelling is a constant process.

How do I know this? Do I have proof? Are there studies?

Well, not exactly. I'm giving you my opinion.

But I have seen clients who well in their 70's feel their bones changing. I've also asked this question to at least a dozen highly qualified dentists/professionals (whos opinions I trust), and the answer is always the same:

Your bone can change at any age. And it does change. Always.

It might take a little longer (depending on your age). But if your Mewing improves, your jaw will also. 

That's enough proof for me.

Plus, now at 27 I'm seeing better changes than I ever have. This isn't about age, it's about doing exercises to improve your resting tongue position.

The force of my tongue on my palate is changing.

More on the asymmetrical side. More on the front that requires forward growth.

And just like magic, the maxilla expands in turn.

Anyways, if you think you're too old to change - don't.

How long do I have access to the program?

How long per day will the take?

The exercises take as little as 10 minutes per day. You can do them for longer if you wish, but the combination of posture improvement, tongue training, and osteopathic techniques will take you under 10 minutes to do!

Do I have to keep doing the exercises forever?

Note: you do not have to do these exercises forever. In myofunctional therapy, people reach what's known as the "habituation phase" after 12-16 weeks. Meaning, your tongue is now "habitually" in the correct positon.

Remember, your tongue is both your natural retainer, and expander. If you change the resting position  of your tongue and posture, it will maintain itself over time.

Just like your "retaining" your maxilla in the current imbalanced position, it will also maintain it's balance once corrected.

Can I do the program if I have braces/aligners or retainers?

If you have braces or aligners, your maxilla will not be able to expand any further than the appliances allow them to. The same goes for retainers. With that being said - the program can still provide a lot of benefits. You can still improve your resting tongue position, and posture, as well as the muscles of your face, lips, and cheeks. This improved resting tongue position can be greatly beneficial, and help you to continue to improve after you have your braces removed. 

How Is this different from the old bff programs?

This is a guided-coaching program, so it is NOT just a course. We will be tracking your results, and providing you guidance to ensure you improve.

How long until I see results?

Our goal is that you see results from the day you start the routines. These results include: improvements in your posture, symmetry, and resting tongue position. This can happen FAST! Generally, people experience benefits within the first week.

In terms of actual change to the bone - it depends on many factors. The younger you are, generally the faster these changes can happen. But they happen at every age. It may take time, but it is my belief (and that of many professionals I've worked with) that the maxilla is constantly changing and remodelling. Just like any bone in the body. 

So, if you experience changes in your tongue position at rest - it's only a matter of time before those changes are reflected in your jaw.

This is not the same as "Mewing". Mewing is about consciously exerting effort to get your tongue up. These are 5 minute exercise routines to improve the natural "resting position" of your tongue, in other words, where it goes when you aren't thinking about it (which is most of the day anyways, nobody can think about their tongue 24-7).
